I think it is disgusting for someone who will be the first to "spout off" about their rights or criticize the government or say their freedoms have been denied, to desecrate the very symbol of their rights, liberty and freedom, the American flag. The American flag codifies the beliefs and ideals we so fervently defend. For anyone to burn it in protest only undermines their own loyalty to their cause.

Already the House had passed the amendment to the constitution banning desecration to the American flag. It is currently before the Senate. While I disagree with desecration of the American flag, I have to stand firmly and vehemently to the belief that by making a constitutional amendment to ban this desecration would also undermine the exact freedoms it stands for.

I urge all Americans to tell Congress that we will NOT tolerate this amendment which would in itself destroy the true meaning of the American flag and desecrate it far worse than burning.
